1690 Philip Lea

Philip Lea labels the Island as “Gutings I” which is another spelling variation of “Goddins Island.” He calls the Pamunkey Indians the “Pumaomack” but he still draws a dot, not for the small islands as before, but for Goodwins island itself. This is the first of the 1700s single island depictions.
